Squirrel is one of New Zealand’s largest independent mortgage brokers, facilitating over $3 billion in residential mortgages each year, and also offering our own suite of unique lending products funded via our saving & investing platform.
Founded in Auckland in 2008, Squirrel has grown into a nationwide business—helping clients with everything from home loans through to construction and development finance, and offering an alternative way for Kiwi investors to tap into New Zealand’s residential property market.

Our founder, John Bolton (JB), has been an EO member for 12 years and knows first-hand the value you get from being part of the EO community.
Being an entrepreneur can be pretty lonely. Friends and family don’t always get how all-consuming growing a business can be—working around the clock, constantly thinking about risks and opportunities.
